Before you buy a car, you need your driving license. Here we will explain to you how you can easily get your driving license in Qatar.

First thing, you need to be 18 years old or above and have a valid Qatar ID.

I am an expat and have a valid driving license in my country

Check with MOI the list of exempted countries allowing to directly convert your driving license without going through the driving school process and drive test process.

I am an expat; I have a valid driving license in my country which is not in the exemption list

If your country of origin is not in the list of exempted nationalities, then you need for go through the driving school process.

Go to the nearest driving school near your location, to make a booking.

First step for you would be to do the eye test, this is done in the driving license itself, but if you want to gain time and you are passing by eyewear shops, ask if they do the eye test for driving license and go for it, you’ll gain one step.

After eye test, you’ll be guided attend commercial driving training, check the packages and the requirements in the driving school.
