Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 is one of approximately 850 examples produced for the model year and was built on January 29th, 1969. Assigned Kar Kraft number KK1238, the car was originally delivered to Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island. The 23rd car offered to the public, it is believed to be the first that was sold in Candyapple Red and is among the first 50 hand-built prototypes for the model. It underwent a rotisserie restoration between 2007 and 2009 by Randy Roberts of Muscle Car Restorations, Inc that included repairs before the exterior was repainted, reupholstering the black interior, and rebuilding the 429ci Boss V8. The car was acquired in 2024 by the selling dealer, who states that the engine was removed and refreshed recently. It is also equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a Traction-Lok differential, power steering, 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels, the Visibility Group, the Interior Decor Group, an AM radio, and a heater. This Boss 429 is now offered with a Marti Report, judging sheets, restoration records, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
